Hi, I’m Maliha!
I am a first generation Pakistani American creative from Chicago, IL. Music, theatre, and writing have always been my passion, and I’m looking forward to bringing one of many fresh perspectives into an ever-evolving industry.
I believe that creation is a radical act against systems of oppression. I want to utilize my voice to help enhance the representation of marginalized artists, especially those with ethnocultural ties to the Global Southeast, inspiring positive change in public ideology and legislation. I’d like to help create new stories, while also retelling classics with deeper consideration.
This summer you can catch me performing as Julie Jordan in Music Theater Works’ Carousel at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts in Skokie, IL.
